We are pleased to announce that laser cutting operations have been added to our service offerings. Our Amada machine has been commissioned at our new premises on Corngreaves Road in Cradley Heath and is now fully operational. The machine increases our capabilities to now include: laser cutting sheet metal to length; cutting intricate shapes from sheet metal; and engraving designs into thicker sheets.
Being able to operate the in-house machine will help us to further reduce our lead times (as products won't have to be sent out to and returned from subcontractors) and provide greater control over the prioritization of jobs. If a job needs doing with only a couple of days turnaround, this should be able to be facilitated without too much bother!
The addition is the first stage in an exciting review into our production techniques and how we can enhance the value added to our customers. The review comes following the acquisition of the Corngreaves Road property and trying to assess the best utilization of the available space.
